Dr. Elizabeth Wozniak joined the Annapolis Cat Hospital and Bay Ridge Animal Hospital team in October of 1999. She holds two bachelor's degrees from the State University of New York at Binghamton; one in biology and one in anthropology. Dr. Wozniak earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Michigan State University. Her area of professional interest is in feline medicine. She is passionate about veterinary care and truly enjoys watching her patients grow.
Dr. Wozniak shares her home with many animal companions, including her cats Junior, Frankie, Maurice, Howard, Bindi, Louie, Hoover, and her loving dog Addie. In her free time, Dr. Wozniak enjoys knitting, reading, photography, and gardening.
Dr. Jacquelin Koenig is a veterinarian at Annapolis Cat Hospital and Bay Ridge Animal Hospital. Working in the veterinary industry since 2010, in 2017 she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ohio State University. Dr. Koenig is Fear Free certified, and her area of professional interest is neurology. Dr. Koenig was inspired to become a veterinarian after caring for her childhood dog. She says the best part about working in the veterinary field is seeing the human and animal bond firsthand.
Dr. Koenig is originally from and currently resides in Crofton, Maryland with her fiancé and two boys, Dylan and Trey. Dr. Koenig loves spending time with her three dogs, Ollie, Moe, and Phoebe; two cats, Ellie and Papple; and one rabbit, Zamboni. When she is not caring for animals, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Dr. Catherine DeJesus-Savas is an Associate Veterinarian at Annapolis Cat Hospital and Bay Ridge Animal Hospital. She received her VMD in 2014 from the University of Pennsylvania College of Veterinary Medicine, and completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Referral Associates. Dr. DeJesus-Savas began working in the veterinary field in 2000 after being inspired by her grandmother’s seeing eye dog. Her areas of professional interest include dermatology, internal medicine and behavior. She says the best part about working in the veterinary field is learning every day and seeing the power of the human-animal bond.
Originally from the Bronx, she currently lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband, son, and two family dogs, Apache and Mallie. Dr. DeJesus-Savas says she has a weakness for cool cats and sweet dogs and enjoys chasing and dancing with her toddler. Fun tidbits about Dr. DeJesus-Savas: she's crafty and loves socks.
Dr. Michelle Rudd returns after 8 years to Bay Ridge Animal Hospital and Annapolis Cat Hospital as the new Medical Director. Dr. Rudd received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and after graduation completed a one-year small animal medical and surgical internship at Veterinary Referral Associates. Dr. Rudd has practiced in Anne Arundle County for over 15 years, and her areas of professional interest are ultrasound and client education.
Having grown up with animals, Dr. Rudd always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian and has worked in the veterinary field since high school. Dr. Rudd currently has her two young cats, Carlson and Nemo, Bertha the red-eared slider turtle, and a senior dog named Racer-X that she adopted from Bay Ridge Animal Hospital 13 years ago! She currently resides in Howard County with her husband Joe, and her two teenage children, Joseph and Bryn. When she is not working, Dr. Rudd loves to cheer on her children in wrestling, rugby, cross-country, and track. Dr. Rudd is an avid Washington Capitals fan and loves to attend games.
Norella joined the Annapolis Cat Hospital/Bay Ridge Animal Hospital team in August of 1998. She enjoys working with the team and helping them grow their skills and knowledge. When she is not working, she can be found training or trialing her dogs in scent work events. She also enjoys camping and watching local sporting events.
A long-time resident of Annapolis, Mary joined the Annapolis Cat Hospital/Bay Ridge Animal Hospital team in September of 1999. She has lived in Annapolis since she was 9 years old and her family has had many pets over the years. She shares her home in Annapolis with her husband and their Chiweenie dog.
Mike has been a part of the Annapolis Cat Hospital/Bay Ridge Animal Hospital team for 17 and a half years. He has been with and around animals his entire life and truly enjoys working with cats, dogs, their parents, and the team at the hospitals.
Jason has worked at Annapolis Cat Hospital/Bay Ridge Animal Hospital for over 10 years. He finds it truly rewarding to see the positive final outcomes in the veterinary world and hopes to own his own business one day. He shares his home with two cats and one dog and enjoys fishing and all things outdoors in his free time.
Kristin B. joined the Annapolis Cat Hospital/Bay Ridge Animal Hospital team in 2018. Her favorite part of working in the veterinary field is watching the pets in the hospital’s health improve. She is currently in between pets at the moment and on the lookout for her next furry best friend.
Heather joined the Annapolis Cat Hospital/Bay Ridge Animal Hospital team in November 2019 and has been a veterinary technician for 11+ years. Originally from the Eastern shore of Maryland, she has quickly found herself at home at the hospitals. While her favorite patients are cats of all kinds, she has a special place in her heart for grumpy cats. She also loves “misfits” of all kinds. Heather shares her home with four cats, one who is an asthmatic tripod and one who is a diabetic. Additionally, she has an epileptic Cairn Terrier and an Australian Cattle Dog mix. Outside of the hospitals, she enjoys camping, hiking, and going to the beach with her fiancé and two dogs.
